That's the foundation of how teaching happens here. And it's not just about textbooks — 21st-century skills, life skills, digital and financial literacy, and health awareness all get real attention. Birla Vidya Mandir sits 500 metres above Nainital town, which makes it one of India's highest-altitude schools — a fact that genuinely surprised us. It's a member of the Indian Public Schools' Conference (IPSC) and the International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC), among other bodies. Students come from different countries too, so there's a real mix of cultures on campus. When it comes to extracurriculars, there are clubs, hobby groups, and societies to choose from. And in 2025, the school was honored with a School of the Year award. A parent review rated sports and extracurricular activities as the highest aspects.
