The campus is in Dalanwala, and there are trees all around. It's surprisingly quiet for a school. The classrooms aren't cramped. The science and computer labs are well equipped, and the children get real time in them. There's a library with a good collection, and the auditorium is used regularly for assemblies and functions. Sports and gym facilities are available as well. For boarders, the hostels are comfortable, there's a sick room with medical help on campus, Wi-Fi, and food that tastes home-cooked. When your child is away from home, these are the things that matter.

Bala Hissar Academy follows the ICSE syllabus. The teachers don't just move on after a lesson — they make sure the child has actually got it. Audio-visual aids and digital tools are part of how they teach. Children who need help in a subject get remedial classes and extra attention. With around 30 students in a class and a 1:30 ratio, teachers get to know each child properly, not just their roll number. Hindi is given equal importance alongside English at Bala Hissar Academy, which we appreciated as parents.

Bala Hissar Academy's students have performed well in ICSE and ISC over the years and gone on to higher studies. The results stay fairly steady, which suggests the school relies on routine and regular assessment, not luck. More than the marks, what we noticed is the confidence our child developed over the years at Bala Hissar Academy. Former students have gone into all kinds of fields, from engineering and medicine to commerce and arts. The school prepares children not just for one exam, but for whatever comes after.

Bala Hissar Academy takes career guidance seriously in the senior years. Students get help deciding between Science, Commerce and Arts. The advice is based on what each child is good at and where their interest lies. Counsellors sit with them to talk about college options and courses, which honestly made things much clearer for our child. Graduates of Bala Hissar Academy have got into colleges across India and even abroad. Whether it is engineering, medicine, business or humanities, students leave with a fair idea of where they are headed. The school's job is to give them that clarity, and it

One thing that really stands out about Bala Hissar Academy is the flexibility it offers. You can choose full boarding or day scholar, which not every school allows. The school puts real weight on discipline, respect and responsibility. SUPW is compulsory, and it gets children involved in work outside the classroom. The atmosphere feels like a large family — children are looked after, but they're also expected to think for themselves. Parents looking for value-based education without the extras will find it here.
